Closet Cleaning
Checklist
1. PREPARE
Take a deep breath.
Commit the time, start to finish.
Clear a space for organizing.
Grab empty bins or bags for sorting.
Have fun!
2. PURGE
Remove everything out of your closet(s) and drawers.
If you are tackling this prioject all in one day, then throw everything into one big heaping pile.
If you are going to span this project out over a few days, then make piles by category (e.g. tops, dresses, flats, heels, etc.)
3. EDIT
Review each item, then ask yourself...if not, it is time to consign, donate, or throw away.
Do I still love it?
Have I used or worn it since the COVID pandemic?
Does it still reflect my brand, style?
Would I buy it again if I saw it online or in a store?
Does it make me look good, fit properly, and comfortable?
Is it in wearable condition - any missing embellishments, rips, stains, or tears?
Can I wear it to more than one place?
Does it still have the tags on?
Would you rather save the closet space for something better?
4. SEPARATE
Create five (5) piles for sorting your items.
